St. Paul, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The 2011 Minnesota Wild development camp is wrapping up this weekend, with two on-ice scrimmages that are open to the public.
More than 3,000 people showed up Saturday morning to watch the Wild's top prospects compete in an hour-long scrimmage.
That group includes current UMD Bulldogs Jack Connolly and J.T. Brown, former Bulldog Justin Fontaine, and UMD recruit Derik Johnson.
None of those four were on the score sheet in Saturday's 5-5 tie, but Connolly did tally in the all-team shootout.
Another scrimmage, again open to the public, is set for 11:00 a.m. on Sunday at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
