Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Seniors Brooke Neuroth and Megan Mullen were instrumental on Wednesday afternoon as the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) softball team played its final regular season home games of 2014, earning two wins over MSU-Moorhead at Malosky Stadium.
Neuroth hit her first-ever collegiate home run in game one and Mullen followed that with a walkoff two-run blast to give the Bulldogs a 4-2 win, with sophomore pitcher Cayli Sadler earning the win with a complete game three-hit performance.
Mullen, a Hermantown, Minn. native, then started the next game in the pitcher's circle and went four innings while allowing just one hit and one earned run. Sadler came on in relief and again earned the win, this one a 5-3 decision over the Dragons.
UMD is now (23-17) overall this season and (9-6) in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
