South Shore to State, First Time Since '04

Spooner, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- The Spooner girls' basketball team earned a 61-53 victory over Owen-Withee on Saturday night in the Sectional 1 championship, earning the program's first trip to the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) Division 5 tournament since 2004.

South Shore is (26-0) this season and will play (26-1) Barneveld in the state semifinals, with that game set for 3:15 p.m. on March 14 at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wis.

The entire WIAA girls' basketball tournament can be seen on live television in the Northland on the My 9 Sports Network, with the championship games set for March 16.
