Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- After finishing the first half of the Northwoods League at (9-27) and in the basement of the North Division, the Duluth Huskies are hoping to get back on track as the final half of the season gets underway.

After beating Rochester on Wednesday night, the Huskies are (1-0) and atop the standings for the second half crown.

Duluth manager Daniel Hersey is optimistic his guys can make a run at the playoffs if they tweak a few things.

"Our focus is to get the train on the tracks again and go forward and keep getting guys in the situation they need to be successful and find out what exactly we're going to work with as a coaching staff," Hersey said.

"How we piece together and see what situation the guys are going to be involved in and get the momentum going into the second half," he said.

The Huskies return home on Friday to face Alexandria at 5:05 p.m.
