Superior Native Blake Earns All-WIAC Honor

Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Superior, Wis. native and UW-Superior senior shortstop Britnee Blake has been named to the all-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) softball first team, it was announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Blake played in 29 games this season for the Yellowjackets, finishing second on the team with a.419 batting average while racking up 20 runs scored and seven runs batted in to go along with 11 stolen bases in 12 attempts.

Blake was just as impressive defensively for UW-Superior, committing just 10 errors in 132 chances for a .924 fielding percentage.

Her teammate, junior infielder Kristen Haider, earned all-WIAC honorable mention after starting all 37 games this season and leading the team with a .423 batting average.
