Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- For Rick Adelman, the second time is the charm. After failing to get the milestone win on Friday night, Adelman and the Timberwolves snuck by Detroit, 107-101, for win number 1,000 in his career. The 66-year-old Adelman became the eighth coach in NBA history to win 1,000 games. Nikola Pekovic had 20 points and 13 rebounds and J.J Barea scored 20 points to lead the Timberwolves. Minnesota surrounded their head coach after the final buzzer to congratulate Adelman. The win moves the Timberwolves to (29-47) on the season.
