Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Duluth East senior Meirs Moore, Hermantown senior Jake Zeleznikar, and Grand Rapids senior Jake Bischoff are among 12 finalists for the inaugural Reed Larson Award, which will be given annually to the best senior boys' hockey defenseman in Minnesota.
Moore has had a banner year for the Greyhounds, helping his team to the Section 7AA championship while totaling 18 goals and 29 assists for 47 points.
Bischoff also has his Thunderhawks in the Section 7AA championship, that despite having missed much of the year with injury. In just 18 games played, the University of Minnesota recruit has amassed seven goals and 15 assists for 22 points.
Zeleznikar, meanwhile, has helped his team back to the Section 5A championship game while totaling 11 goals and 34 assists for 45 points with the Hawks.
The award winner will be announced on March 5, with the actual award to be presented at the Class AA tournament banquet on March 6.
