Grand Rapids, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Grand Rapids senior defenseman Jake Bischoff was announced Thursday as one of 10 finalists for the 2013 Minnesota Mr. Hockey Award, given each season to the most outstanding senior player in boys' high school hockey. Bischoff, a University of Minnesota recruit, missed several games this year with an injury, but he still has totaled six goals and 10 assists through 14 contests with the Thunderhawks. The Grand Rapids captain is one of two Northland players selected as finalists for the award, with the other being Hibbing-Chisholm senior forward Adam Johnson. This is the 29th year of the Minnesota Mr. Hockey Award, which is sponsored by the Minnesota Minute Men and will be given out during a banquet on March 10.
