Princeton, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Grand Rapids cross country runners Collin Cottingham and Jaylynn Lauer were the top Northland finishers at Thursday's Section 7AA championship, leading a group of four Thunderhawks to advance to the state meet. Cottingham finished in a time of 16:28 to finish fifth in the boys' race, while Lauer came across with a mark of 15:09 to finish sixth in the girls' race. There were five other Northland runners to qualify for the Class AA state meet, but no area teams were able to finish in the top two to qualify for state.
