Tigers Rally, Twins Drop Ninth Straight Game

Detroit, MI (NNCNOW.com) --- Prince Fielder hit a game-winning single in the eighth inning, giving the Detroit Tigers a 7-6 win over the Minnesota Twins to stretch the Twins' current losing streak to nine games.

Detroit trailed by three runs headed to the seventh inning, but scored three times off three different Minnesota pitchers that frame before Fielder's game-winning hit in the eighth.

Miguel Cabrera drove in three runs for the Tigers and hit his sixth home run in the past four games, now matching a career-high by homering in four straight games.

Minnesota is now (18-26) this season and will play game two of the four-game series in Detroit on May 24 at 6:08 p.m.
