Minneapolis, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Minnesota Timberwolves have fired head coach Kurt Rambis, weeks after reports said the embattled coach would be gone following June's NBA Draft.
Rambis amassed a record of (32-132) during his two-year stay in Minnesota, including a league-worst record of (17-65) this past season.
Reports surfaced shortly before the NBA Draft that the Timberwolves front office had decided to fire Rambis, but would wait until after the draft was over to do so.
Rambis' 164 games coached for Minnesota is tied for second-most in franchise history with Bill Misselman (1989-91), with only Flip Saunders ahead of those two with 737 games coached.
