Cleveland, OH (NNCNOW.com) --- Brian Dozier hit a solo home run on the second pitch of the game and Kyle Gibson gave up just one run as the Twins held off the Indians 7-3 on Saturday to give Minnesota manager Ron Gardenhire his 1,000th career win.

Gardenhire became just the 10th manager in major league history to win 1,000 games with the same team. He also joins Tom Kelly as the only managers in Twins history to reach 1,000 wins.

The 56-year-old is the fifth active manager to reach the milestone.
