Kansas City, MO (NNCNOW.com) --- Three different Minnesota Twins hit solo home runs on Tuesday night, but it wasn't enough to beat Kansas City as the Royals took a 7-4 win at Kauffman Stadium.

Joe Mauer, Josh Willingham, and Eduardo Escobar all hit solo home runs, with Escobar also adding an RBI single for the Twins in the losing effort.

Mike Pelfrey lasted just two innings as the Minnesota starter, allowing six runs on eight hits to take his first loss of the 2013 season.

The Twins are now (4-4) this 2013 season and will next be in action at 7:10 p.m. on Wednesday against Kansas City.
