Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Former pitcher Eddie Guardado and former director of public relations Tom Mee were each inducted in the Minnesota Twins Hall of Fame on Friday evening during a pre-game ceremony at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minn.
Guardado is Minnesota's all-time leader in games played with 648, and he left the Twins after 12 seasons with a 4.53 earned run average and 116 saves.
The 42-year-old former closer was elected to the hall by a 56-member
committee consisting of local and national media, club officials, fans and past elected members.
Mee, meanwhile, was elected through the Veterans Committee to earn his spot in the Hall of Fame. Often referred to as the team's first employee, Mee started with the Twins in 1957 --- four years before the franchise moved to Minnesota.
