Dick Fisher (football, hockey and track), Renee (Flugge) Voltin (softball and volleyball), former men's basketball and golf coach George Fisher, 13 year National Hockey League veteran Jim Johnson and All-American basketball player David Thompson will be honored.

The addition of five listed above will be added to the 109 that already make up the Hall of Fame.

On October 5, 2012, the Hall of Fame will hold its 15th ceremony to honor Fisher, Voltin, Fisher, Johnson and Thompson.

The five inductees will also be recognized at halftime of UMD's Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference football clash with Minnesota State University-Moorhead the following evening.
