Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) baseball team has been picked to finish sixth in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) preseason coaches' poll, which was released on Thursday. The Bulldogs finished the 2012 season in sixth place, putting up a conference record of (17-20) and an overall mark of (24-27). Bob Rients will enter his eighth year as UMD head coach when the team opens practice on Jan. 14, with the Bulldogs' first game action set for Feb. 14 against Minot State at Mall of America Field in Minneapolis. UMD returns 13 letterwinners from the 2012 season, including four guys who started at least 36 games for the Bulldogs in that year.
