Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) football team has named five captains ahead of the 2013 season, the school announced via Facebook on Monday morning.

Seniors Colby Ring, Nate Zuk, Travis Nordhus, and Tom Olson and junior Aaron Roth will lead the team this next season, hoping to extend the program's current streak of five straight trips to the NCAA Division II tournament.

The Bulldogs went (10-2) a year ago and won the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) North Division championship for a fifth straight year, but UMD was ousted in the first round of the NCAAs by Missouri Western State.

UMD will open spring drills on April 1 and will hold the program's annual Maroon-White scrimmage on April 26 at Malosky Stadium in Duluth, Minn.
