Rochester, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Duluth, Minn. native Tyra Kerr scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 12th inning on Friday night, giving the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) softball team a 2-1 win over Concordia-St. Paul in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) tournament. Julia Nealer pitched all 12 innings for the Bulldogs in the winning effort, throwing 193 pitches while allowing just five hits and striking out 12 batters. UMD is now (40-11) overall this season and will play Augustana in the third round of the NSIC tournament, with that game set to start at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Rochester Community and Technical College Dome.
