UMD Women Rout UWS in Home Opener

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) women's basketball team used a 19-point effort from Taylor Meyer en route to blowing out the University of Wisconsin-Superior (UWS) 89-43 at Romano Gymnasium on Tuesday night.

Hannah also scored in double digits for the Bulldogs with 13 points and seven rebounds. Barnum native Katrina Newman finished with 7 points.

Sally Linzmeier was the lone Yellowjacket to finish in double figures.

UMD (2-1) travels to Michigan Tech on Saturday to take on the Huskies. UWS (1-2) faces off against St. Scholastica on Monday.
