UMD's Black Invited to Team Canada Camp

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) freshman goaltender Kayla Black has been invited to the Canadian women's goaltending camp, which will run June 6-9 at the Markin MacPhail Centre at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Alberta.

Black is a native of Blythe, Ontario and will join 13 other goaltenders at the national camp, which includes seven under-22 players and seven under-18 development players.

As a freshman this past winter with the Bulldogs, Black played in 31 games and posted an overall record of (13-14-4) and a 2.29 goals against average.

Following the season, she was named to the all-Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) third team and the all-WCHA rookie team.
