Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) sophomore defenseman Brigette Lacquette has been named the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) offensive player of the week, it was announced on Tuesday.

Lacquette played a part in every Bulldogs goal this past weekend against North Dakota, finishing with a goal and two assists in the two-game series.

She also scored the game-winning goal as the fourth shooter in Saturday's shootout, propelling UMD to an extra point that gave the team home ice advantage in the first round of the WCHA playoffs.

Lacquette ranks 19th in the nation among Division I blueliners this year with seven goals and 15 assists for 22 points.
