Birmingham, AL (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) sophomore Chanel Miller placed 14th in the women's long jump on Friday at the NCAA Division II indoor track and field championships in Birmingham, Ala. Miller's first jump of 18 feet, 3.25 inches was her best, but that mark wasn't good enough to put her in the top nine and qualify for the finals. The Bulldogs sophomore is making her first appearance at the NCAA Division II championships and will also compete in the pentathlon, which is set to start at 9:00 a.m. on March 9.
