Unbeaten UMD Stays #1 in AVCA Poll

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) volleyball team stayed put at #1 in this week's American Volleyball Coaches' Association (AVCA) Division II poll, which was released on Monday afternoon.

It marks the second straight week atop the AVCA Division II poll for UMD, which received 44 of a possible 48 first-place votes. The Bulldogs won three matches last week and are now (11-0) this season.

UMD is one of three teams from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) to be ranked this week, with the others being #8-ranked Wayne State and #9-ranked Southwest Minnesota State.
