Milwaukee, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Wandy Rodriguez won his fourth straight start as the Pirates beat Milwaukee 5-4 on Sunday afternoon marking Pittsburgh's first series win over the Brewers since June of last year.

Pedro Alvarez had a two-run double for the Pirates as they used an early four-run lead to win their 13th game in 15 tries.

Brewers starter Yovani Gallardo lasted just four innings, giving up four runs and five hits while striking out seven.

Milwaukee made a run at it in the fifth with three runs of their own thanks to a three-run double by Ryan Braun, but their rally fell short.

The Brewers (19-29) host the Twins (19-28) on Monday at 1:10 p.m.
