St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Minnesota Wild defenseman Ryan Suter finished as the runner-up for the Norris Trophy after being edged out by Montreal's PK Subban the NHL announced on Saturday.
Suter finished with 36 total points, just one first-place vote behind Subban. In his first season with the Wild, Suter led the NHL in average ice time per game at 27 minutes, 16 seconds.
He finished third among defensmen in points with 32, behind only Subban and Pittsburgh's Kris Letang. Suter's 28 assists were second behind only Letang.
In other award news, the Wild's rookie defenseman Joan Brodin finished fourth for the Calder Cup Trophy. He led all rookies in ice time. Florida's Jonathan Huberdeau won the award.
