Wild Jumps Out to 2-Game Lead over Wilderness

Cloquet, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Minnesota Wilderness led 2-1 near the end of the first period before couldn't keep up down the stretch as the Wenatchee Wild took game two 4-3 in the first round of the North American Hockey league playoffs on Saturday night.

Darian Romanko, Jakob Romo, and Richard Buri all scored for the Wilderness in the loss. Kasimri Kaskisuo played just 20 minutes and finished with 5 saves while Frank Oplinger had 19 saves in relief for Minnesota.

Game No. 3 is on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at the Northwoods Credit Union Arena in the best-of-five game series.
