Wild Trade Clutterbuck to Islanders for Niederreiter

St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Minnesota Wild traded Cal Clutterbuck and a third-round pick in Sunday's NHL Entry Draft to the New York Islanders in exchange for right winger Nino Niederreiter.

Niederreiter was the fifth-overall pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft and played in 74 games last season with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

The 20-year-old was second on the team in scoring with 28 goals and 22 assists. He also led Switzerland with five goals and three assists in the 2013 IIHF Men's World Championship.

Clutterbuck was selected by Minnesota in the third round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft and finished his career in Minnesota with 110 points in 346 games.
