St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Minnesota Wild dealt defenseman Justin Falk to the New York Rangers Sunday morning before the 2013 NHL Draft for a 2014 sixth-round pick and the rights to Benn Ferriero.

Ferriero, a right winger, is a restricted free agent. The 26-year-old played in four games for the Rangers last season and had one assist.

Falk, the 6-foot-5 2007 fourth-rounder, racked up 15 points in 108 games for the Wild but was in and out of the lineup last season.

The NHL Draft starts at 2 p.m. on Sunday with Minnesota's first pick not coming until No. 46.
