Willingham Homers, Twins Win Big Over Rangers

Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Josh Willingham hit a two-run homer, and Pedro Hernandez earned his first major league win as the Minnesota Twins beat the Texas Rangers 7-2 Saturday afternoon.

Hernandez pitched five shutout innings while allowing just five hits and striking out three. Anthony Swarzak, Brian Duensing, and Jared Burton each threw a scoreless inning to break a three-game skid for the Twins.

Aaron Hicks had his first career extra-base hit, a two-run double in the eighth inning in which Minnesota scored three runs.

The Twins (10-10) and Rangers meet again tomorrow at 1:10 p.m.
