With No CBA, NHL Cancels More Of Regular Season

December 10, 2012 Updated Dec 10, 2012 at 2:15 PM CDT

New York. NY (NNCNOW.com) --- The National Hockey League (NHL) announced Thursday the cancellation of all 2012-13 regular season games through Dec. 30, which brings the running total of axed games to 526 during the ongoing labor dispute.

The cancellations were made necessary due to the lack of a collective bargaining agreement between the league and the NHL Players' Association (NHLPA).

42.8 percent of the 2012-13 regular season has now been canceled, with games originally set to begin on Oct. 11.
