Worley Will Be Twins' Opening Day Starter

Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Minnesota Twins announced Wednesday that right-handed pitcher Vance Worley will be the team's starter for Opening Day on April 1 against Detroit.

The 24-year-old Worley came to Minnesota this offseason along with Trevor May from Philadelphia in an offseason trade for outfielder Ben Revere.

Worley made 46 starts across three seasons with the Phillies, posting a 3.50 earned run average and 238 strikeouts in 277.2 innings pitched.
