Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- A good effort fell just short on Saturday afternoon for the UW-Superior men's basketball team, with the Yellowjackets falling 79-68 to #9-ranked UW-Stevens Point.
Jarrod Peterson led the Yellowjackets with 26 points in the losing effort, with Bronson Byrne adding 15 and Johnquez Brooks contributing 12.
UW-Superior falls to (2-4) overall this season with the loss.

YELLOWJACKETS WOMEN UPSET #3 POINTERS AT HOME
The UW-Superior women's basketball team earned an upset win on Saturday, beating #3-ranked UW-Stevens Point at Mertz Mortorelli Gymnasium in Superior, Wis.
Sally Linzmeier scored a game-high 22 points in the win, with Kristen Nett adding 12 and Deandra Vavra scoring 11 for the Yellowjackets.
UW-Superior improves to (4-1) this season with the win.
