Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- UW-Superior junior midfielder Nate Engel has been named by the National Soccer Coaches' Association of America (NSCAA) to the all-North Region third team, it was announced on Thursday.

Engel captained the Yellowjackets to a (12-6-2) overall record this past fall, and he becomes the first-ever UW-Superior men's soccer player to receive all-region honors.

The Maple Grove, Minn. native tied career highs with three goals, two assists, and eight total points in the 2012 season, and for that he was named to the all-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) first team.

Engel has played in 60 games during his career with the Yellowjackets, totaling seven goals and six assists during that span.
