Yellowjackets Win, Split Bridge Battle with Saints

Superior, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The UW-Superior men's hockey team beat St. Scholastica 6-4 on Saturday night at Wessman Arena, splitting the bridge battle with the Saints to open the 2012-13 season.

Six different Yellowjackets and four different Saints scored in the seesaw affair, with Andy Singerhouse notching the game-winner midway through the third period for UW-Superior.

Dennis Nordmark made 13 saves for UW-Superior in the winning effort, while Tyler Bruggeman and Colin Rundell combined to make 28 stops for St. Scholastica.
