Cloquet, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Trevontae Brown is the only senior on this year's Fond du Lac Ojibwe boys' basketball team, and it is under his leadership that the Ogichidaag won the program's first-ever Section 7A championship.

"He's been more calm than I have at times this season," head coach Earl Otis said. "Sometimes I get hyper and he's there to tell me what to do. I listen to him. He's done a really good job this year on and off the floor being our captain."

Brown's scoring output has gone down from his junior season, but his assists and rebounds are up, which makes him one of the many reasons the community is proud of this year's Fond du Lac Ojibwe team.

"The community is really great," Brown said. "Everywhere we go, there's someone coming up to us to say we're doing a good job or we had a good game. It's a big deal to the community."

Fond du Lac Ojibwe will play in the MSHSL Class A quarterfinals on Thursday afternoon, with that game against Canby set for 1:00 p.m. at Williams Arena in Minneapolis, Minn.
