Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- Jack Connolly scored two goals and the #1-ranked UMD men's hockey team earned a weekend sweep with a 4-3 win over Alabama-Huntsville on Saturday.
Connolly had the two goals and an assist in the game, stretching his personal scoring streak to 22 games, tying the school record held by Mark Pavelich.
The Bulldogs also got goals from Joe Basaraba and Caleb Herbert in the winning effort, stretching their home winning streak to eight games.
Aaron Crandall got credit for the win in goal for UMD, making 14 saves in his first game since early October.
UMD was wearing special pink uniforms for the game in an effort to help raise money and awareness for breast cancer research. The uniforms were auctioned off during the game, with all proceeds going to the Essentia Health Breast Center.
