Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The #1-ranked UMD men's hockey team stretched its unbeaten streak to 14 games on Saturday with a 4-2 win over Wisconsin at the Kohl Center in Madison.
Duluth Marshall graduate Jack Connolly got the Bulldogs out to an early 1-0 lead in the first period, marking his 16th straight game with at least one point.
Duluth East graduate Max Tardy then started a three goal second period for UMD, which also featured goals from Travis Oleksuk and Mike Seidel.
The Badgers scored two late third period goals to draw close, but UMD held on for the win, earning three of a possible four points on the weekend and moving to (12-3-3) this season.
