Kalamazoo, MI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The #1-ranked UMD men's hockey team set a new school record on Friday night, stretching its current unbeaten streak to 15 games with a 4-1 win over #8-ranked Western Michigan.

The Bulldogs got goals from four different players, including the game-winner from senior Travis Oleksuk, to move to (12-0-3) in their last 15 games.

Senior captain Jack Connolly also extended his personal scoring streak to 17 games with three assists in the contest, further solidifying his spot as the highest-scoring active player in NCAA men's college hockey.

The team has not lost since being swept at home by in-state rival Minnesota, a span of almost three full months.

UMD survived a slow first period in which they fell behind 1-0, found the equalizer in the second period, then pulled ahead for good with a three-goal third period.

The Bulldogs and Broncos will play again on Saturday night in Kalamazoo, with drop of the puck set for 6:05 p.m. CST.
