Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A $250,000 video board installed into the existing scoreboard at Malosky Stadium on the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) campus was turned on for the first time on Wednesday afternoon.

"It is an amazing development for Malosky and really speaks to one of my priorities, which is fan experience," UMD athletics director Josh Berlo said. "In today's world, our dollars and our free time are very precious. We want to put our best foot forward and give fans an amazing experience when they come to support the Bulldogs."

The 22x12-foot LED video board was made possible by an anonymous donation to the school's athletic program made in honor of "UMD Walk-On Student-Athletes."

The video board is capable of showing photos, moving graphics, and replays, something which Berlo says will greatly enhance a fan's experience when attending game's at Malosky Stadium.

The first game to be played with the new video board in place will be women's soccer on Sept. 5 against Northern Michigan.
