Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The UMD Bulldogs volleyball team is ranked #4 in the country and off to the best start in program history, but a conference match Saturday looms large on their schedule.

The Bulldogs will be on the road to face #1-ranked Concordia-St. Paul, a match with huge conference and regional implications.

"It'll certainly be fun to play a quality opponent like Concordia," UMD head coach Jim Boos said. "They present so many different challenges, and they're so talented."

"They'll be tough competition, as always," Bulldogs senior outside hitter Hannah Johnson said, "but we love tough competition."

"Just take it one game at a time and not get ahead of ourselves," UMD sophomore outside hitter Kate Lange said. "Any team can beat us if they play well and we don't. We just have to take it one game at a time."

The Bulldogs and Golden Bears will square off Saturday afternoon, with the match scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
