#7 Bulldogs Knock Off #5 Boston College

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The #7-ranked UMD Bulldogs women's hockey team got the 2011-12 regular season off to a great start Saturday afternoon, beating #5-ranked Boston College 7-2 at AMSOIL Arena.

The Bulldogs scored four second period goals to pull ahead of the Eagles, then added three in the third to seal the victory.

Jennifer Harss made 33 saves and allowed only the two goals to earn her first official win of the season.

UMD moves to (1-0-0) this year and will again host Boston College on Sunday afternoon at AMSOIL Arena, with faceoff set for 3:07 p.m.
