#8 Bulldogs Score Often in Sweep of Mavericks

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The #8-ranked UMD men's hockey team scored four goals in 96 seconds in the second period to take control in Saturday's 7-3 win against Minnesota State-Mankato.

The Bulldogs got goals from seven different players, including Duluth native and senior captain Jack Connolly, to complete the home sweep of the Mavericks at AMSOIL Arena.

Justin Crandall, J.T. Brown, Caleb Herbert, and Joe Basaraba all scored within 96 seconds of each other to start the second period and stake UMD to a 4-0 lead.

From there, the Bulldogs got goals from Connolly, Jake Hendrickson, and Brady Lamb to complete the winning effort.

UMD has the Thanksgiving holiday off from games, but will return to action Friday, December 2 when they visit Michigan Tech.
