The UMD men's hockey team won the third and deciding game in their WCHA playoff series, with a 4-0 win over Colorado College on Sunday.

Kyle Schmidt, Brady Lamb, Rob Bordson, and Mike Connolly scored the goals for the Bulldogs, while goalie Kenny Reiter made 25 saves for the shutout.

With the victory, UMD win the best of three series two games to one. The game also marked the final playoff game ever at the DECC. Next season, UMD will play in the new arena.

The Bulldogs advance to the WCHA Final Five at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. UMD will face North Dakota in the play-in game on Thursday, with the winner to face Denver on Friday. Last season, UMD won the Final Five, becoming the first play-in team to win the tourney. The winner of the Final Five gets an automatic bid into the NCAA tournament. The championship and third place games are on Saturday.
