Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The #9-ranked UMD football team will host Wayne State (MI) in an NCAA quarterfinal game on Saturday, and will have a big play maker back on the sideline.
Mountain Iron native D.J. Winfield will be back with the Bulldogs after serving a one-year suspension for violation of team rules. Winfield, a fifth-year senior, had been one of UMD's biggest offensive threats before being suspended.
The Bulldogs and Warriors will kick off at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday from Malosky Stadium in Duluth.
