UMD Volleyball team holds first practice

August 6, 2010 Updated Aug 8, 2007 at 6:24 PM CST

The UMD Volleyball team held its first practice of the year on Tuesday.

Tthis season, they'll be going for their fourth straight conference title as coach Jim Boos and his troops went (31–4) and reached the final four for the 2nd time in 3 last season, and finished ranked 2nd in the country. Bulldogs return last year's co–national player of the year and 3–time all–American Vicky Bragelmann.

They'll begin the season on august 24th at the Concordia – St. Paul tournament.

They'll host the UMD classic in September after a one–year hiatus.

The 3–time defending N-C-C champs were a perfect 12–0 in conference matches last year - the first team to do that in over a decade.

Bulldogs are also aiming for their 6th consecutive playoff appearance.
