Erie, PA (NNCNOW.com) --- Ashland, Wisc. native and Concordia-St. Paul junior Anika Whiting racked up 14 points and seven rebounds, but it wasn't enough as the Golden Bears fell to Nova Southeastern 72-64 in the NCAA Division II Elite Eight on Tuesday.
Whiting, who was named the Central Region Tournament MVP last week, played 32 minutes in the loss. It was the program's first-ever trip to the Elite Eight and the team's 28 wins ties a single-season record.
Concordia beat four straight top-10 teams before falling to the No. 10 Sharks.
