Badgers Claim Inaugural Big Ten Hockey Title

St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Wisconsin men's hockey team scored two goals in 18 seconds in the third period to force overtime before beating Ohio State 5-4 in the inaugural Big Ten championship at the Xcel Energy Center on Saturday night.

Mark Zengerle scored the game-winner just eight minutes into OT to lift the Badgers over the Buckeyes in front of 10,153 fans.

With the win, Wisconsin will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. The tournament field will be announced Sunday.
