Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) women's soccer team is fourth in the first official NCAA Division II Central Region rankings of the season, which were released on Wednesday.
The rankings, which mimic the selection process for the NCAA tournament, include four other teams besides UMD from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). At year's end, the top six teams on the list will qualify for the NCAAs out of the Central Region.
UMD owns an overall record of (10-3-0) this year and is (9-2-0) within the NSIC. The Bulldogs are next in action Oct. 26 at home against MSU-Moorhead, with that match scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.
