Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The UMD men's hockey team is in a comfortable situation this weekend as they head east for play in the NCAA regionals, a situation they were also in last season.
The Bulldogs played in and won the east regional last season and this year will open play Saturday against Maine in the northeast regional.
UMD players and coaches said this week they draw a lot of confidence from last season's success in the east regional, when they beat Union and Yale to advance to the Frozen Four.
The Bulldogs will play Maine on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in Worcester, MA. That game can be seen either on FSN Plus or streamed live on espn3.com.
