Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The UMD Bulldogs men's hockey team will be doing something special in warm-ups of this Friday's game at AMSOIL Arena, aimed at helping troops and their families in Minnesota.

The Bulldogs will wear camouflage jerseys just during the pregame warm-ups on Friday night, then autograph them, and auction them off during the game.

Money raised will be donated to "Defending the Blue Line," a Minnesota charity that assists families from all branches of the miltary with the costs of hockey for their children.

The 148th Fighter Wing, based in Duluth, will also be honored before Friday night's game against Alaska-Anchorage.
